Aka 7even and LDA end musical partnership as singer faces trial over hit song
The duo cancelled their upcoming tour to focus on solo careers while Aka 7even prepares to face copyright allegations regarding his breakthrough single.
Italian singer and songwriter Aka 7even, born Luca Marzano, and fellow artist LDA announced on November 3, 2026, that they are mutually ending their musical partnership after less than a year of collaboration. The two artists shared a video on social media explaining their decision to return to their individual solo careers and pursue separate artistic paths, while assuring fans that their personal friendship remains unaffected.
The split brings an immediate end to their joint project, which included performing together at the 76th Sanremo Music Festival with their track "Poesie Clandestine" and releasing a collaborative album of the same name in March 2026. Consequently, the remaining winter dates of their "Ultimo Ballo Tour - Live Indoor" have been canceled. The affected performances included stops in Naples on November 20, Milan on November 23, and Rome on November 24.
Ticket holders seeking refunds for the canceled indoor tour dates can submit their requests through official ticketing platforms until December 31, 2026. The duo expressed gratitude to their supporters for the strong backing they received during their months of touring, which previously featured more than 50 dates across Italy during their summer run.
The announcement of the musical separation coincided with legal developments surrounding Aka 7even's career. On November 4, 2026, the singer is scheduled to appear before the Tribunal of Rome for the first hearing of a criminal trial. He is facing accusations regarding the authorship of his major hit single "Loca," which propelled him to national fame during the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi in 2021.
The legal action was initiated by Emanuele Bertolucci, performing under the stage name Lema, who claims that "Loca" copies an unreleased track titled "Loka," which he asserts he wrote in November 2019 prior to the release of Aka 7even's version. According to legal reports, prosecutors allege a violation of copyright law regarding the public attribution and performance of the track. A technical expert report previously noted significant similarities between the two compositions.
Aka 7even is being represented in the proceedings by defense attorneys Raffaele Benincasa and Marco Moscatiello. The upcoming court sessions will evaluate the evidence presented by both the prosecution and the defense to determine liability. Under Italian legal standards, the ongoing proceedings do not yet constitute a final judgment of responsibility.
While the timing of the trial and the end of the collaboration with LDA overlap closely, official statements from the artists attribute the termination of their joint musical project strictly to a mutual desire to pursue independent creative directions. Neither artist has indicated any connection between the legal dispute and the conclusion of their collaborative partnership as they pivot back toward their respective solo endeavors.
