Argentine assets and economic indicators faced negative pressures at the start of November amid international volatility and local factors.

Argentine financial markets kicked off November with widespread negative momentum, as the country risk indicator climbed above 800 points and local equities experienced significant corrections. The JP Morgan country risk index rose to 808 points, continuing a steady climb influenced by international context and local economic data.

The ongoing volatility in Argentine financial instruments reflected broader regional and global pressures. The country risk indicator accumulated a notable increase over the preceding weeks, reaching its highest levels in over a year. Analysts noted that market sentiment remained cautious as investors digested recent developments.

Foreign exchange markets also saw upward movements across various dollar rates. The official retail dollar quotation moved higher, while alternative rates such as the MEP and the Contado con Liquidación (CCL) adjusted accordingly. Meanwhile, the informal parallel rate, known as the blue dollar, traded near the official retail figures, maintaining close parity during the trading sessions.

The official retail exchange rate traded around $1575 for selling operations at major banking institutions, reflecting a gradual upward adjustment over the preceding weeks. The wholesale segment, which involves major commercial entities and export liquidations, also registered parallel movements under the supervision of the central bank.

Citizens engaging in foreign purchases or international services continued to utilize the card dollar rate, which incorporates applicable tax perceptions on top of the base retail quotation. Financial authorities noted that foreign exchange regulations allow individuals to purchase foreign currency through banking channels under established operational limits.

Simultaneously, cryptocurrency-backed dollar alternatives provided continuous liquidity outside of traditional banking hours. These stablecoins traded closely alongside other parallel financial mechanisms, offering market participants alternative hedging instruments against domestic economic volatility.
