Ariana Grande has traded her signature, ultra-long ponytail for a retro-inspired bob. The Grammy-winning singer and Wicked star debuted the dramatic transformation in an Instagram post, marking a significant departure from the hairstyle she wore for roughly 14 years.

The new look features a deep side part, a chocolate brown hair color, and bouncy, outward-flipped ends. Hairstylist Brandon Pietsch, who executed the cut and color, shared photos of the transformation online and quipped in a caption that "The ponytail is taking a hiatus."

Grande's fresh look quickly earned praise from fans and fellow celebrities alike. Model Gigi Hadid commented that the style was "rlly cute," while her beauty brand, R.E.M. Beauty, and boyfriend Ricky Alvarez also left supportive comments on her post.

Over the summer, sources confirmed that she rekindled her romance with ex-boyfriend Ricky Alvarez following her amicable split from her former co-star Ethan Slater.
