Norwegian club Bodø/Glimt engaged in another high-scoring European thriller, ultimately dropping a 4-3 decision to Italian side Napoli in the UEFA Champions League. The match featured intense momentum swings and a late flurry of goals, cementing Bodø/Glimt's reputation as a competitive force on the continental stage following previous notable outings.

Napoli opened the scoring early at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona when Matteo Politano found the back of the net in the second minute. However, Bodø/Glimt responded in the first half through Jens Petter Hauge, who leveled the score in the 27th minute. Napoli regained the lead before halftime courtesy of Scott McTominay, sending the hosts into the locker room up 2-1.

The second half continued at a frantic pace as the visitors refused to back down. Sindre Helmersen drew Bodø/Glimt level once again in the 63rd minute. McTominay struck again for Napoli in the 75th minute to restore the advantage, and an own goal by Jostein Gundersen Bjørtuft in the 88th minute appeared to put the game out of reach for the Norwegian outfit.

Despite falling behind late, Bodø/Glimt continued to push forward. Sondre Fet scored in stoppage time, specifically in the fourth minute of added time, but it proved too late for the visitors to complete a comeback as Napoli secured the 4-3 victory.

Bodø/Glimt has established a formidable reputation in European competitions, having previously earned a statement 1-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund and famously eliminating Inter Milan from the Champions League play-offs last season. Despite starting the current European campaign with a heavy 5-0 loss to Bayern Munich, the Norwegian club continues to demonstrate its capability to challenge European powerhouses.

On the domestic and international fronts, other major fixtures unfolded across Europe. Borussia Dortmund recently bounced back from a winless stretch that included a 1-0 defeat to Bodø/Glimt and consecutive Bundesliga draws against Werder Bremen and Union Berlin. Dortmund manager Niko Kovac saw his side return to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Azerbaijani side Sabah FK, powered by a brace from forward Serhou Guirassy.
