Professional cyclists Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and Dylan Van Baarle have officially tied the knot. The prominent WorldTour couple exchanged vows during the weekend, sharing the news through social media with photographs from what the French cyclist described as the best day of her life.

The wedding brings a positive conclusion to a year that proved athletically difficult for both riders. For Ferrand-Prévot, the 2026 season contrasted sharply with her remarkable 2025 campaign, during which she triumphed at Paris-Roubaix and the Tour de France Femmes following her return to road cycling and her mountain bike gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Her 2026 campaign included a second-place finish at the Tour of Flanders and a third-place finish at Paris-Roubaix. However, she was unable to defend her Tour de France title, withdrawing after seven stages due to difficulties that effectively ended her season.

Dylan Van Baarle also faced a challenging year on the bike. After transferring from Visma-Lease a Bike to Soudal Quick-Step, the Dutch rider struggled to meet expectations during the spring classics, ultimately concluding the season without a victory.

Despite these athletic setbacks, the couple's relationship has remained strong since they publicly confirmed their romance on Valentine's Day in 2023. Following a romantic engagement proposal, preparations culminated in their weekend wedding ceremony.

The celebration included distinct Dutch touches alongside traditional elements. Ferrand-Prévot joked on social media about the inclusion of popular Dutch snacks at the reception, noting that everyone was happy when cheese soufflés, bitterballen, and frikandellen were involved.

Ahead of the ceremony, the couple experienced a moment of concern when Van Baarle was struck by a car shortly before the wedding date. Fortunately, the incident had minimal impact, allowing the wedding to proceed as planned and marking a joyous milestone for the two champions.
