The UEFA Champions League match between FC Porto and SSC Napoli at the Estádio do Dragão ended in a 4:1 victory for the home side on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Porto dominated the encounter from the beginning, building on their domestic momentum to claim a comfortable win over the Italian club.

Porto opened the scoring in the 11th minute when Jan Bednarek capitalized on a corner kick to head the ball home freely, following an earlier disallowed offside goal by Pepe. Despite trailing early, Napoli managed to equalize shortly before halftime when Scott McTominay found the back of the net in the 43rd minute.

In the second half, Porto reasserted control over the pitch. Veiga restored the home team's lead in the 69th minute with a well-taken goal. Former Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior extended the advantage to 3:1 in the 80th minute before Samu sealed the final score line at 4:1 by converting a penalty kick in the 90th minute.

SSC Napoli traveled to Portugal facing a severe injury crisis that left head coach Massimiliano Allegri with limited personnel options. The squad was missing ten players for the fixture, including Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Mathias Olivera, Stanislav Lobotka, Leonardo Spinazzola, Alisson Santos, Benoit Badiashile, Costantino Favasuli, David Neres, and Alessandro Buongiorno, while Luca Marianucci was ineligible to play.

Speaking ahead of the match, Allegri addressed the challenging circumstances surrounding his squad. 'There are objective difficulties, but they must not be excuses,' Allegri stated, emphasizing the need for his team to avoid defensive errors and improve their focus in continental competition.

The defeat leaves Napoli with a difficult path forward in the Champions League group stage following a fluctuating start that included losses to Arsenal and Villarreal, alongside a chaotic 4:3 victory against Bodø/Glimt. Meanwhile, Porto capitalized on their home advantage to secure crucial points in the tournament.
