French TV Schedules Feature Major Lineup Changes, Reality Twists, and Intimate Interviews
Broadcasters detail high-stakes shifts on Koh-Lanta, new Miraculous air dates, and performer profiles.
French television networks have unveiled notable schedule announcements and programming developments spanning reality competitions, animated franchises, and cultural broadcast interviews. Leading the changes, commercial broadcaster TF1 confirmed a major shakeup in its prime-time survival series Koh-Lanta All Stars, where host Denis Brogniart is set to reintroduce the linked fates game mechanic during the crucial post-reunification phase, forcing contestants into shared victories and dual eliminations.
The survival competition, which airs Tuesday nights at 9:10 p.m., pairs contestants into duos whose tournament longevity is directly tied together. Production details revealed that initial game partnerships have returned for remaining players: Lola is reunited with Dorian, and Christina joins Freddy once again. Meanwhile, Maxime has been matched with Nicolas, and Clémentine is paired with Ugo, known as the Phoenix. The structural reset immediately rattled camp dynamics, especially after Ugo and Clémentine chose to take Lola and Dorian along on a reward trip away from camp.
The departure of those four contenders left the remaining duos on camp grounds scrambling to reassess their voting strategies before heading to the tribal council. Maxime noted that contestants felt the vote would be brutal, adding that Nicolas holds an advantageous double-vote that could decisively influence the outcome. Two competitors will be voted out simultaneously at the end of the evening. Meanwhile, on the island of the banished, Camille and Yassin will face an unexpected duel against recently eliminated contender Vincent, with the loser leaving the game permanently.
Network scheduling adjustments also extend into daytime family lineups. Broadcaster TF1 provided updated morning air dates for the hit animated production Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, which streams on TF1+ and broadcasts during the TFOU youth block. The schedule outlines the culmination of Season 6 across late October, followed by the successive rollout of Season 7 episodes, including two-part releases titled Rediffuzion and Chrysalis, followed by upcoming installments Désamour and Manageman through mid-November.
The French television landscape continues to showcase talent emerging from its major flagship franchises. Singer Charles Doré, who finished as a semifinalist on Star Academy nearly two years ago before losing to eventual winner Marine, is continuing a successful nationwide solo tour. The 20-year-old artist from Brittany, who signed with the same record label supporting artists Vianney and Mentissa, released his debut album À l'équilibre in the spring and was named a breakthrough discovery by Amazon Music's artist development program.
Speaking ahead of a solo concert at Paris's Bus Palladium, Doré reflected on adapting to the intense pressure and demands of a professional recording career. His original song "Hypersensible" was recently performed on Star Academy by contestant Zoé to defend her position during a live broadcast, which Doré described as a deeply rewarding milestone after two years of creative output. While continuing his current tour through March at the Trianon, he stated he is focusing on releasing singles or an EP while exploring musical collaborations with industry peers.
Broadcast talk programs have also highlighted personal milestones among established performers. Veteran actor Daniel Russo appeared on Le Figaro's Buzz TV to discuss his role alongside Laurent Gamelon in the theatrical production Côte à côte at the Montparnasse Theater. During the interview, Russo spoke candidly about his close friendship with the late actor Jacques Villeret, famous for portraying François Pignon in Francis Veber's classic film Le Dîner de cons.
Russo revealed that he has abstained from drinking alcohol entirely since Villeret died in 2005 from liver complications. Describing Villeret as a brother, Russo recounted trying to support him through his prolonged struggles with addiction and recalled the helplessness of watching a close friend battle the illness. Russo still wears Villeret's wristwatch on stage during his theatrical performances, noting his late friend's meticulous dedication to learning script dialogue alongside legendary perfectionists like Louis de Funès.
