Granada Defeats Real Valladolid to Secure Fourth Consecutive Victory

Granada CF secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Real Valladolid on Friday at the Nuevo Los Cármenes stadium during the eleventh round of LaLiga Hypermotion. With this result, the Andalusian club registered its fourth consecutive win, bringing its total to 20 points and temporarily placing the team inside the promotion playoff zone.

The home side started strongly, taking the lead in the 14th minute. Following an impressive delivery to the far post by José Arnaiz, Sergio Rodelas headed the ball into the net to open the scoring. Despite maintaining intense pressure and creating multiple scoring opportunities that tested visiting goalkeeper Álvaro Aceves, Granada failed to extend its lead before halftime.

Real Valladolid showed significant improvement after the break and equalized in the 57th minute. Iván Garriel delivered a remarkable strike from outside the box that curled directly into the top left corner of the goal, stunning the home supporters and leveling the score at 1-1.

The visitors' momentum was short-lived as Granada responded with tactical changes and renewed attacking pressure. Just ten minutes after conceding, a cross from the left flank found Jorge Pascual, who scored with a powerful header to put his team back in front at 2-1.

Despite late efforts from Valladolid, including dangerous headers from substitute Tomy Fernández in the closing stages, Granada successfully defended its lead until the final whistle. The visitors finished the match with ten men after David Torres received a direct red card deep into stoppage time following a VAR review.

The defeat leaves Real Valladolid struggling near the lower portion of the standings, having failed to secure points for the second consecutive week. Meanwhile, Granada continues its upward trajectory in the league standings under manager Fran Escribá, extending an impressive run of positive results.
