The late-night talk show Inas Nacht has wrapped up its current season, leaving fans waiting until July 2027 for new episodes. Host Ina Müller announced the timeline for the show's return on Instagram following the season finale, which aired from the traditional venue, the Schellfischposten pub in Hamburg.

Since 2007, the program has featured conversations, live music, and regional humor, initially broadcasting on NDR before expanding to Das Erste in 2009. Due to the modest size of the filming location, the studio accommodates an audience of only about 15 people per episode, maintaining an intimate atmosphere that defines the series.

The recently concluded season featured writer Elke Heidenreich and Tatort star Ulrich Tukur as guests, alongside musical performances from artist Mulaa Joans and the band Mia. The final broadcast capped off a record-breaking year for the program, during which the twelve episodes of the previous season achieved an average market share of 13.6 percent on Thursday nights, marking the highest figures in the show's history according to NDR.

Despite the strong ratings and enthusiastic viewer response, fans are facing an extended hiatus. Following the finale, Müller addressed her audience on social media, writing, Dear community, that is it for Inas Nacht for 2026! Ina and team say a heartfelt thank you and a big merci for all the praise, suggestions, criticism, and the incredible ratings.

The announcement prompted numerous reactions from viewers online, with many expressing disappointment over the lengthy break. Comments ranged from dismay over the eight-month wait to calls for a higher frequency of episodes throughout the year, with one supporter writing that the pause feels too long.

To help bridge the gap before the new season premieres, NDR plans to rebroadcast the recent episodes starting in early 2027. The network has indicated that exact dates for the repeat broadcasts will be announced at a later time, offering audiences an opportunity to revisit the season while awaiting fresh content.
