Juventus Women Secure 4-1 Victory Against Austria Vienna

Juventus Women secured a resounding 4-1 victory against Austria Vienna during their UEFA Women's Champions League League Phase match. The fixture, held on October 28, 2026, allowed the Italian squad to break a difficult run of form and claim essential points in the European competition.

Managed by Isaac Guerrero, the visiting team entered the match looking to overcome a series of domestic losses. The Italian side began the European campaign with a 2-1 defeat against Benfica before recovering with a 3-0 away win over Häcken. Meanwhile, Austria Vienna stepped onto the pitch seeking their first victory in the group stage after securing a historic 1-1 draw against Inter Milan in their previous outing.

The deadlock broke in the 39th minute when Matilde Pavan put Juventus ahead. Receiving a pass from Eva Schatzer in the final third, Pavan advanced into the penalty area and curled a shot past goalkeeper Jasmin Pal into the far corner, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.

Juventus extended their advantage shortly after the break. Following a VAR review, the referee awarded a penalty for a foul by Pal on Estela Carbonell. Alba Redondo stepped up in the 63rd minute and calmly converted from the spot to make it 2-0.

Austria Vienna fought back in the 78th minute when Lotta Cordes headed home from a corner kick at the near post, slipping the ball past goalkeeper Larissa Rusek. However, Juventus quickly extinguished any hopes of a comeback.

In the 82nd minute, a defensive error allowed Kysha Sylla to tap the ball into an empty net after Pal dropped a free kick from Schatzer. Deep into stoppage time, substitute Arianna Bartel sealed the 4-1 victory with a soft touch from the edge of the box following an assist by Martina Serturini.

The comprehensive win moves Juventus forward in the tournament as they aim to solidify their position in the knockout stages. The team will look to use this momentum to correct their trajectory across all competitions following a challenging stretch earlier in the season.
