Former French Olympic swimming medalist Laure Manaudou celebrated her 40th birthday with a family outing alongside her two sons, Lou and Sacha, whom she shares with singer Jérémy Frérot. The weekend celebration took place near the Larros port in Gujan-Mestras, located within the Arcachon Basin.

Manaudou shared a snapshot on Instagram showing her young boys sitting side by side on a bench facing the harbor, bundled up in puffer jackets against the cloudy backdrop. Earlier in the day, one of her sons participated in a soccer match with the FC Bassin d'Arcachon team, playing as a goalkeeper.

Now divorced from Jérémy Frérot—whose recent album "Gamin des Sables" highlights his roots in the Gironde region—Manaudou continues to reside in the Arcachon Basin. She initially moved to the area from Marseille by love, seeking a slower pace of life closer to nature.

Reflecting on her relocation in past interviews, Manaudou explained that she grew up in the countryside near Lyon and craved a return to nature without the aggressiveness of a major metropolis like Marseille. "I prefer to have less sun but a better quality of life," she stated.

The region provides an environment where she can raise her children away from the media spotlight. Frérot has similarly expressed appreciation for returning to his hometown roots, noting that he wanted to step away from the touring whirlwind and watch his children play where he once played.

Manaudou is the mother of three children: her eldest daughter Manon, born from a previous relationship with swimmer Frédérick Bousquet, and her two sons with Frérot. She balances her daily routine with outdoor activities, cycling, and fitness training in her adopted hometown.
