Luke Littler Featured in New Netflix Live Darts Special
The world's top-ranked darts player is set to take on amateur competitors in a special streaming event as part of Netflix's latest live broadcast slate.
World-renowned darts star Luke Littler is preparing to face some of the top amateur players from the United Kingdom in a special live Netflix event titled "Beat Luke Littler." The upcoming broadcast, scheduled for late October, offers everyday players a chance to test their skills against the sport's leading figure while competing for a significant cash prize.
Since bursting onto the professional scene at age 16 during the 2024 Professional Darts Corporation World Championship, Littler has experienced a meteoric rise. In 2026, he has reached an exceptional level of play, securing nearly every tournament victory in various formats and establishing himself as the dominant force in professional darts.
The upcoming Netflix live event represents a major step into live broadcasting for the streaming platform. Given Littler's impressive tally of nearly 30 professional titles, the odds for any amateur challenger appear formidable, yet the broadcast is expected to draw substantial viewership as fans tune in to see if an underdog can pull off an upset.
Meanwhile, the broader professional darts circuit continues to heat up as players compete for crucial ranking points ahead of upcoming major tournaments and future selections. Competitors such as Ross Smith have recently made strong cases for higher rankings and future Premier League consideration following notable victories in European competition.
As the Professional Darts Corporation moves through the final months of its calendar year, Littler's own schedule remains packed with high-profile events. Although he opted to skip World Series stops in Australia and New Zealand, he continues to feature prominently in tournaments across the remainder of the season.
The ongoing success and high profile of players like Littler have helped drive broader interest in the sport, expanding its reach into mainstream entertainment through initiatives like the upcoming streaming special. As professional darts evolves, top athletes face intense competition and heightened expectations across every major tournament.
