Marvel Studios has launched a new wave of promotional material for its highly anticipated film, Avengers: Doomsday, featuring a series of posters that highlight the movie's massive ensemble cast. The promotional rollout showcases various heroes and villains from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, who is depicted wielding both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker while surrounded by lightning. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.

The newly released images offer fans a glimpse at the diverse array of characters set to appear in the production. In addition to Thor, the posters feature prominent figures such as Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson, serving as Captain America, and Letitia Wright’s Shuri in her role as Black Panther. These visuals emphasize the scale of the film, which is being positioned as a significant milestone in the studio's ongoing Multiverse Saga.

A major focus of the current marketing campaign is the film’s antagonist, Doctor Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr. Several posters place the villain at the center of the action, often surrounded by his allies, including a group known as the Latverian Witches and an army of Sentinels. Marvel appears to be establishing Doctor Doom as a primary threat, drawing comparisons to the role Thanos played in previous Avengers installments.

The promotional materials also highlight the integration of characters from different cinematic universes, including various members of the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. Among those featured are James Marsden’s Cyclops, Kelsey Grammer’s Beast, and Pedro Pascal’s Mr. Fantastic. An international poster further expands this roster, confirming appearances by actors such as Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, and Simu Liu, among many others.

Despite the extensive list of characters revealed in the posters, Marvel Studios continues to keep several key details under wraps. Several confirmed cast members, including Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm and Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter, remain absent from the latest promotional images. This strategy appears intended to maintain a level of mystery regarding the plot as the release date approaches.

As the debut of Avengers: Doomsday nears, the studio has expanded its promotional efforts beyond traditional posters. Marketing tie-ins and new footage have been utilized to build momentum, with the film already setting records in advance ticket sales. With the narrative expected to explore a deadly collision between universes, the studio is preparing audiences for an existential threat that will serve as a foundational piece for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
