Paris Saint-Germain secured a thrilling 4-2 victory against Barcelona on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes, handing Hansi Flick's side their first defeat of the season in the UEFA Champions League. In a rematch of European heavyweights, Luis Enrique's squad delivered a statement performance to claim all three points in front of home supporters.

The deadlock was broken in the 38th minute when Désiré Doué capitalized on a turnover deep inside the Barcelona half. The winger cut inside multiple defenders and fired an unstoppable shot from the edge of the box past goalkeeper Joan García, marking his second consecutive Champions League match with a goal.

Barcelona responded strongly after halftime. Ten minutes into the second half, young fullback Xavi Espart equalized for the visitors by slamming a finish past Matvei Safonov after receiving a precise through ball from Fermín López. However, PSG restored their advantage in the 72nd minute when Lucas Hernández scored with a powerful header from an outswinging corner taken by Doué.

The match continued to deliver dramatic momentum swings in the closing stages. Lamine Yamal drew Barcelona level once again in the 79th minute, maneuvering around substitute Warren Zaire-Emery to score his 11th goal of the season at the near post. Despite the equalizer, PSG quickly answered back through their dominant midfield.

Just two minutes after Yamal's goal, Vitinha scored a brilliant strike from the edge of the box to put the hosts ahead 3-2. Fabián Ruiz then sealed the victory in the 87th minute by tapping in a cross at the back post from Achraf Hakimi, securing consecutive 4-2 European wins for the reigning champions following their victory over Manchester City.

The high-intensity encounter took a physical toll on both clubs. PSG was forced to substitute Ousmane Dembéle and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia due to injuries during the match, while Barcelona's Dani Olmo also departed early in the first half with an injury. Despite these setbacks, the French side maintained control to solidify their standing among the tournament favorites.
