Millions of farmers across the United States and abroad await agricultural relief funds, but in India, the Ministry of Agriculture has officially announced that the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will be released on October 30, 2026. Under this central government initiative, eligible farmer families receive 6,000 rupees annually in three equal installments of 2,000 rupees each, transferred directly to their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer system.

While the official announcement ends weeks of speculation following the completion of the four-month gap since the previous payout on June 20, authorities cautioned that not all registered beneficiaries will automatically receive the funds. Officials stressed that farmers must fulfill all mandatory requirements, particularly completing their electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) procedures and ensuring that their bank accounts and Aadhaar card details contain no errors or discrepancies.

The official PM-KISAN social media handle confirmed the upcoming disbursement date, writing, "The 24th instalment of PM-KISAN is set to be released on 30th October 2026, empowering our Annadatas with continued financial support." This timely rollout ahead of the holiday season has brought considerable relief to agricultural communities relying on the financial assistance.

Despite the fixed release date, any individual with pending e-KYC verification risks having their payment withheld. Farmers can verify their registration status and check whether their e-KYC is complete by visiting the official PM-KISAN portal, utilizing the mobile application, or consulting the Kisan eMitra chatbot.

For beneficiaries needing to update their information or complete verification, multiple methods are available. Farmers with an active mobile number linked to their Aadhaar card can complete the process online via the official website by entering their registration number, receiving a One-Time Password (OTP), and submitting the required authentication.

Alternatively, beneficiaries can download the official PM-KISAN mobile application alongside the Aadhaar Face RD app to complete the e-KYC process using facial recognition technology. Those encountering technical difficulties with digital platforms can also visit local Common Service Centers for in-person assistance from authorized personnel.

As the October 30 disbursement date approaches, agricultural authorities strongly urge all participants to review their beneficiary status online immediately. Resolving document mismatches or completing pending biometric and OTP verifications ahead of time will ensure that the 2,000-rupee installment is deposited smoothly without administrative delays.
