The Nashville Predators put together a historic offensive display on the power play, cruising to a 6-2 victory over the Colorado Avalanche at Bridgestone Arena. The win helped Nashville snap a two-game losing skid and delivered what players and coaches described as the team's best performance of the season.

Nashville capitalized heavily on special teams, converting four of its seven power-play opportunities. It marked the first time the franchise has scored at least four power-play goals in a single game since January 2012, and only the sixth time in franchise history that the team has reached that milestone.

Veteran forward Ryan O'Reilly led the charge for the Predators, racking up four points with two goals and two assists. Steven Stamkos also had a standout night, adding two goals and one assist, while Filip Forsberg contributed a goal and two assists. Roman Josi anchored the offensive efforts from the blue line with three assists.

"We had some good looks that we buried," Stamkos said regarding the team's execution. "That's what you're supposed to do when you get those chances. We've talked about searching for that type of effort. That's the way we want to play, so that's the standard."

The Predators dominated the pace of the game across every period, opening with two goals in the first, adding three in the second, and capping it off with one in the third. The victory improved Nashville's record to 4-3-4 on the season, bringing their total to 12 points.

Head coach Andrew Brunette praised the team's top performers for stepping up when it mattered most. "Your best players win you the most games," Brunette said. "They won us that game tonight. For all of them, it was a master class of puck strength and connection when they were on the ice."

Special teams success has proven vital for Nashville's early-season campaign. The team holds a 4-0-3 record in games where they score at least one power-play goal, compared to an 0-3-1 record when they fail to convert. Following this matchup, the Predators' power-play unit ranks third-best in the National Hockey League at 33.3%.

Looking ahead, the Predators will look to build upon their momentum when they host the New York Islanders. Meanwhile, the team also made a roster move off the ice, claiming defenseman Daemon Hunt off waivers from the Minnesota Wild.
