As television networks prepare for upcoming reality television cycles, early casting rumors and public campaigns are already generating significant interest for jungle-themed survival shows in both the United Kingdom and Germany. While official network announcements are still pending for several major editions, recent media reports and celebrity declarations have outlined potential participants and hopeful contestants.

For the British version of the popular survival series broadcast by ITV, tabloids including The Sun and the Daily Mail have published a leaked lineup ahead of the program's scheduled launch in November in Australia. According to these reports, the most internationally recognized celebrity slated to headline the upcoming roster is former professional soccer star Wayne Rooney. The 41-year-old athlete could potentially draw advice from his family, as his wife Coleen previously competed in the same program.

The leaked British roster also features several other notable personalities across music, modeling, and broadcasting. Expected participants include Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson, actresses Joanna Page and Claire Sweeney, former Victoria's Secret model Leomie Anderson, and television personality Chloe Burrows. Additional names circulating in the reports are YouTuber Sharky, presenters AJ Odudu and Mariella Frostrup, and comedians Leigh Francis and Jack Skipper.

Furthermore, presenter and Paralympic athlete Ade Adepitan is reportedly slated to join the cast. This would mark the first time a wheelchair user participates in the history of the British adaptation of the format. The premiere episode of the new season is scheduled to air on November 16.

In Germany, anticipation is building for the 20th anniversary season of the RTL adaptation, which is slated to air in early 2027 and has been billed by the network as its longest edition to date. Although official participant names and a precise premiere date have not yet been released by the broadcaster, several public figures are already actively campaigning for a spot in the camp.

Reality television star and entrepreneur Claudia Obert recently used social media to launch a public appeal to join the 2027 season. Alongside former contestant Stephen Dürr, Obert uploaded a video directly addressing the production team and show physician Dr. Bob, expressing her readiness to face rats, snakes, and traditional eating trials. Obert previously traveled to Australia earlier this year as a companion to contestant Eva Benetatou.

Other public figures have also expressed interest in entering the German camp. Thomas Käfer, a dealer known from the television format 'Superhändler', has likewise stated his desire to participate in the upcoming anniversary season.

Meanwhile, Austrian television personality Simone Lugner has set her sights on a potential camp appearance following her recent television departure in the mountains. Speaking on the program 'Treffpunkt Österreich zu Mittag', Lugner noted that while the physical and nutritional hurdles—particularly as a vegan—would present a challenge, she finds the strategic and interpersonal dynamics of the survival format appealing.
