Trisha Paytas Addresses Ethan Klein Cheating Scandal Following H3 Podcast Hiatus
The internet personality and her husband, Moses Hacmon, weighed in on the fallout within their estranged family.
YouTuber and media personality Trisha Paytas, alongside her husband Moses Hacmon, has publicly addressed the turmoil surrounding her former collaborator Ethan Klein after his wife, Hila Klein, accused him of a months-long affair. Speaking on an Oct. 27 episode of her "Just Trish" podcast, Paytas broke her silence regarding the allegations that have rocked the online creator community and triggered an indefinite suspension of the long-running "H3 Podcast."
Addressing the situation, Paytas admitted to experiencing conflicting emotions following the announcement that Ethan's show was halting production. "I just kind of felt relief," Paytas stated on the podcast. "And like, I'm really ashamed to say that because it's an awful situation." She explained that while she noticed many individuals celebrating Ethan's downfall across social media, she could not join in because of the personal connection to Hacmon's family and the young cousins involved.
Paytas and Ethan Klein previously co-hosted the widely watched "Frenemies" podcast from September 2020 until June 2021, an arrangement built on monetizing their interpersonal conflicts that ultimately dissolved over production and financial disputes. In December 2021, Paytas married Hacmon, who is Hila Klein's brother. Following the end of the show and their wedding, Paytas and Hacmon chose to go completely no-contact with the Kleins, citing persistent hostility and smear campaigns.
Hacmon, who rarely participates on-air, joined his wife on the episode to address the controversy and his estranged relationship with his sister and brother-in-law. He disputed past claims made by Ethan regarding his personal background, specifically denying that he had ever served as a military pilot. "I never graduated from flight school. I never was a pilot. I've never been in combat. I never hurt anyone," Hacmon clarified. He added that Ethan had actively worked to dismantle both families, though he acknowledged being brought to tears after reading his sister's public statement.
The controversy began when Hila Klein published a statement on Instagram detailing what she described as a personal nightmare involving prolonged deceit. Hila, who married Ethan in 2012 and shares three children with him, wrote that Ethan had repeatedly misled her before finally admitting to an affair lasting over six months. She expressed devastation over the breach of trust in both her marriage and their joint business enterprises, confirming that the two are now navigating a separation and co-parenting.
The fallout quickly spread to the couple's professional endeavors, which include the clothing company Teddy Fresh and multiple online shows. The production crew behind the "H3 Podcast" issued a unified statement expressing solidarity with Hila, announcing that staff members would refuse to continue working on any project that directly involves or financially enriches Ethan. In response, Ethan announced on Instagram Stories that he is urgently working to surrender his ownership and financial stakes in their shared businesses so that future support goes strictly to Hila and the crew.
The scandal has also drawn intense public scrutiny due to resurfaced comments Ethan made in 2022 when criticizing former Try Guys member Ned Fulmer over infidelity. At the time, Ethan publicly labeled cheating when children are involved as "despicable" and remarked on the humiliation experienced by spouses in the public eye. Following the recent allegations, Fulmer posted pointed reactions online, underscoring the severe backlash Ethan now faces from peers and viewers alike.
