Cristiano Ronaldo Scores Hat-Trick as Al Nassr Defeats Al Kholood

Cristiano Ronaldo delivered a standout performance on Thursday, scoring a hat-trick to lead Al Nassr to a 5-3 victory over Al Kholood in the Saudi Pro League at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh. The win propelled Al Nassr in the league standings as they continued their pursuit of the domestic title under manager Ange Postecoglou.

The match began with a challenging first half for the home side. Al Kholood took the lead through Julien Domingues in the 16th minute, testing an Al Nassr squad that struggled to break down a compact and aggressive visiting defense. Prior to that breakthrough, Ronaldo saw two of his goals disallowed during a tense opening period, the first of which was overturned following a video assistant referee review and sparked heavy protests from the Portuguese star.

Despite the early setbacks, Al Nassr managed to level the score before halftime. Playmaker João Félix orchestrated the attacking transitions, providing precise passes that led to goals from Ângelo and Sadio Mané. However, Al Kholood responded before the interval, leaving the score level at 2-2 after a high-scoring and unpredictable first 45 minutes.

The second half brought a complete transformation in pace and execution from the Riyadh club. Félix continued his creative masterclass, ultimately finishing the evening with four total assists. His precise vision and distribution unlocked the Al Kholood defense repeatedly, allowing Al Nassr to take control of the tempo and overwhelm the visiting backline.

Ronaldo capitalized fully on his teammate's setup during this dominant second period. The veteran striker netted three legal goals in a commanding display of scoring prowess, bringing his career tally to 985 goals as he pursues the historic milestone of 1,000 career goals. Félix also played a decisive role in the team's fifth goal by delivering a brilliant opening pass that isolated Mané to seal the match.

The victory adds momentum to Al Nassr's campaign following recent wins over opponents such as Al Faisaly. The team entered the fixture missing several key players due to injuries, including Mohamed Simakan, Kingsley Coman, and Sultan Al-Ghannam, forcing Postecoglou to manage his squad carefully amidst a busy schedule.

With this high-scoring result, Al Nassr strengthens its position near the top of the Saudi Pro League table. Meanwhile, Al Kholood suffers a consecutive string of setbacks in the league, having conceded multiple goals during a difficult run of matches that leaves them searching for defensive stability.
