Former WWE Champion Big E Marries Kristen Yim in Star-Studded Ceremony
The wedding brought together prominent figures from across the professional wrestling industry.
Former WWE Champion Ettore Ewen, widely known in the wrestling world as Big E, officially married Kristen Yim on Wednesday. Kristen is the sister of fellow WWE star Mia Yim. The couple began dating in early 2024 after first connecting through direct messages and later meeting at a premiere event.
The wedding ceremony was attended by numerous prominent names from major wrestling promotions, including WWE, AEW, and TNA. Among the guests spotted celebrating with the couple were Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Kofi Kingston, and Austin Creed. Wrestling broadcaster Peter Rosenberg was also in attendance, joining guests on the dance floor.
According to reports from wrestling journalist Bryan Alvarez, the ceremony's schedule accounted for the absence of Kingston and Creed from that week's episode of AEW Dynamite. Big E and Kristen announced their engagement in May 2025, after more than a year of dating, with the former champion expressing immense excitement about their future together.
The marriage marks a significant milestone for Big E, who turned 40 and officially retired from in-ring competition in October 2025. His retirement followed a severe neck injury sustained during a match against Ridge Holland in 2022. Despite stepping away from active competition, Big E remains closely tied to the industry.
He continues his work with WWE as an on-screen host and assists the organization with college recruitment tryouts. His ongoing presence backstage and on television has allowed him to remain a popular figure among fans and fellow competitors alike.
The wedding celebration highlights the tight-knit community within professional wrestling, drawing high-profile talent from rival promotions to share in the couple's special day.
