Ginger Costello-Wollersheim and her partner Lukas Reiter have emerged as the surprise winners of the eleventh season of the reality television series "Das Sommerhaus der Stars" in Bocholt, Germany. Despite entering the competition late as replacement contestants and facing significant friction with their fellow housemates, the duo fought their way to the top to claim the 50.000-euro cash prize and the coveted title of "Promipaar 2026."

The journey to the finale was marked by intense challenges and emotional drama inside the country estate. In the final tenth episode, which became available on RTL+ ahead of its free-television broadcast on RTL, the remaining four couples faced a grueling sequence of elimination games. The initial challenge required celebrities to count out exactly 97.43 euro in loose cent coins from a piggy bank within a two-hour window. While other teams struggled with miscalculations—including Ferdinand "Ferry" Pall and Kathy Hartlieb, who missed the mark by more than three euro—Ginger and Lukas were the only pair to deliver the exact required amount.

Following that opening success, Ferry and Kathy faced Michelle Daniaux and Sandro Ritzini in the "Zieht Leine!" duel, where contestants had to build a tower out of eight wooden blocks. Michelle and Sandro emerged victorious, eliminating Ferry and Kathy just steps away from the finish line. Reflecting on the bitter defeat, a tearful Kathy admitted she could not continue, while Tano Milingi voiced his frustration about Ginger and Lukas remaining in the running.

The semifinal challenge, titled "Das Türmchen zu Bocholt," tested the remaining pairs on dexterity as they balanced a board between their stomachs to stack a tower. To the astonishment of their competitors, Ginger and Lukas secured the first spot in the final round. Michelle and Sandro claimed the second finalist position, while Anna Lisson and Tano Milingi were knocked out in third place just before the ultimate showdown.

In the decisive final battle, Ginger and Lukas faced off against Michelle and Sandro in a test of endurance and precision that involved sawing through wooden logs and knocking down opponent portrait panels with the cut blocks. The late-entry pair mastered the physical challenge first, successfully hitting the buzzer to secure their victory. Expressing her satisfaction after the win, Ginger noted that none of the other residents in the house had wished them success, making the triumph all the more rewarding.

The turbulent season featured numerous dramatic exits prior to the finale, including the voluntary departure of Nico Legat and Laura due to health issues during week nine, as well as earlier exits by couples such as Hati Suarez and Alexander Molz. With the winner now decided, attention turns to the upcoming reunion special hosted by Frauke Ludowig, which promises behind-the-scenes footage and potential updates on the contestants' relationships following the intense production.
