Infinix GT 50 Pro Set for October 2026 India Launch

The Infinix GT 50 Pro is scheduled to launch in India on October 27, 2026, targeting mobile gamers with a focus on connected and social gaming experiences. Ahead of the release, Infinix India and CyberMedia Research released a joint study examining Gen Z gaming habits across the country.

The study, titled the Infinix-CMR State of Gen Z Gaming in India, surveyed more than 2,000 Gen Z smartphone users across 16 Indian cities. The findings indicate that 97 percent of serious gamers and 85 percent of casual gamers view gaming as a primary tool to connect with like-minded individuals and communities.

Built for action-packed titles such as Call of Duty: Mobile and Free Fire Max, the Infinix GT 50 Pro features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The device also supports up to 144 frames per second, a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, and a 2,800Hz instant touch sampling rate to ensure low-latency input.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It operates on XOS 16 based on Android 16 and incorporates visible HydroFlow Liquid Cooling alongside a CyberMecha design on the rear panel to help manage thermal performance.

To facilitate console-style control, the device includes built-in pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers on the frame. These controls offer 10 sensitivity levels and four customizable input modes, including light press, hard press, left swipe, and right swipe, eliminating the need for external attachments.

Powering the hardware is a 6,500mAh battery that supports 45W wired fast charging and 30W wireless charging. The phone also supports wireless bypass charging via the compatible GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0 accessory, which aims to reduce thermal stress while the device is connected to a power source during extended gaming sessions.

In addition to the smartphone, Infinix is preparing a broader ecosystem of gaming accessories. This lineup includes the GT NX Controller, the GT NX Station dock for connecting to external displays, and cloud gaming capabilities designed to shift smoothly between handheld and big-screen setups.

While the official retail price in India has not yet been announced, pre-bookings have opened on the official Infinix India website with a deposit of ₹1,999. The device will be available for purchase on Flipkart following its official release date.
