Manchester United's ongoing struggles deepened on Sunday as Bournemouth secured a dominant 3-0 victory at Old Trafford in the Premier League. The loss extended United's winless streak across all competitions to eight games, piling mounting pressure on manager Michael Carrick.

Bournemouth capitalized on defensive miscues to take control of the match before halftime. The visitors broke the deadlock in the 41st minute when Rayan fired a low shot past Manchester United goalkeeper Senne Lammens following a free kick delivered by Justin Kluivert. Just four minutes later, Bournemouth doubled their advantage after Leny Yoro slipped near his own penalty area, allowing Adrien Truffert to collect the loose ball and set up Tavernier for a close-range finish.

Manchester United attempted to spark a comeback after the interval by introducing Matheus Cunha at halftime, followed by later appearances from Joshua Zirkzee and Shea Lacey. However, the hosts failed to convert their chances. Bournemouth sealed the match later in the second half when a long ball from Lewis Cook caught Lammens out of his penalty area, enabling Evanilson to maneuver past the goalkeeper and score from a tight angle.

The defeat left Manchester United sitting in 16th place in the Premier League standings. The mounting pressure on Carrick follows a turbulent week that included captain Bruno Fernandes being dropped from the starting lineup after publicly criticizing the manager's tactics following a 4-1 Champions League loss at Como.

While Manchester United continues to search for form ahead of their upcoming match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Bournemouth maintained their strong momentum following a previous victory over Sunderland.

In other Premier League action on Sunday, Liverpool secured a comfortable 2-0 victory against Brighton at Anfield. Goals in the 17th and 21st minutes, both deflecting off Brighton's Gross, propelled Liverpool to their fourth consecutive win across all competitions and moved them up to fourth place in the league standings.
