Actor Stanley Tucci headlines the new action comedy heist film "Masterplan," which is currently available for streaming on Prime Video. In the movie, Tucci portrays an English businessman who orchestrates an ambitious plot to steal the Mona Lisa from the Louvre.

The heist brings together an eclectic team consisting of an Italian hacker, played by Simona Tabasco, and a French demolitions expert, played by Victor Belmondo. As the narrative unfolds, Tucci's character reveals a surprising family connection to the two specialists, disclosing that he is their long-lost father and that they are siblings, though the duo remains skeptical of their new paternal figure.

In addition to his latest cinematic release, Tucci recently made headlines during a touching appearance on a special charitable television broadcast in the United Kingdom dedicated to cancer research. Sitting alongside his wife, Felicity Blunt, Tucci watched emotional stories of families impacted by the disease, including accounts of young patients and individuals diagnosed with various forms of cancer.

During the broadcast, Felicity Blunt reflected on her husband's own health battle, telling him, "It's strange because obviously we went through the whole diagnosis with you." Tucci previously disclosed that he was diagnosed with tongue root cancer in 2017 and subsequently underwent rigorous treatments, including chemotherapy and radiation.

The special event, part of Channel 4's "Stand Up to Cancer" campaign, also featured appearances by Prime Minister Andy Burnham, Liverpool City Region Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram, comedian Joe Lycett, and pop group the Sugababes. The programming aimed to raise funds to support potentially life-saving cancer research initiatives across the country.

Beyond "Masterplan" and his charitable advocacy, Tucci's extensive filmography continues to find new audiences on various streaming platforms. Among his past work, the 2010 teen comedy "Easy A"—in which Tucci stars alongside Emma Stone, Amanda Bynes, and Patricia Clarkson—is currently available for viewers to stream on Paramount+.
