Agnez Mo to Star Alongside Nicolas Cage in Upcoming Cyber Thriller C.L.A.Y.

Indonesian singer and actress Agnez Mo is preparing for her first major Hollywood feature film debut, joining an international cast that includes Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage in the upcoming cyber thriller C.L.A.Y. Written and directed by Simon Afram, the English-language project is scheduled to begin production in London in November 2026.

The film's ensemble cast also features prominent international actors such as Michael Sheen, Jordi Mollà, Emilio Sakraya, and Adrian Topol. Director Simon Afram expressed strong enthusiasm for casting Mo, praising her global appeal and emotional depth as a performer.

"Agnez is a true global artist with a fanbase spanning continents. She is a captivating actress—fearless, intense, and possessing incredible emotional depth," Afram stated. "We are thrilled to welcome her to this exceptional ensemble cast. She fits the world of C.L.A.Y. so well."

C.L.A.Y. follows the story of a socially isolated computer genius who finds a sense of purpose and belonging after connecting with a secretive underground hacking collective known as C.L.A.Y., which stands for Clowns Laughing At You. The group engages in digital provocations that trigger tangible, real-world consequences, quickly drawing the unwanted attention of intelligence agencies, criminal syndicates, and rival hackers.

For Mo, the new project marks another significant milestone in her expanding international entertainment career. Earlier, she gained global attention for her role as investigative journalist Lila Hoth in the fourth season of the Amazon series Reacher, where she performed demanding action sequences and trained with traditional weapons.

Mo shared her excitement regarding the casting announcement on social media, describing the opportunity as feeling like a dream. After previously voicing characters in the animated film Groove Tails alongside actors like Ansel Elgort and Halle Bailey, Mo continues to build a diverse portfolio of international screen credits.

Production for C.L.A.Y. is backed by producers including Simon Afram and Georgette Turner from Fortitude, Edward Kahl from Queen of Manhattan, and Reza Roohi. Casting for the film is handled by Rich Mento, with legal representation managed by Bianca Goodloe Esq.
