Catania delivered a dominant 6-0 victory against Giugliano during Sunday's Serie C match at the Stadio Massimino. Played on October 25, the eleventh-round fixture drew a crowd of over 15,000 spectators who gathered to witness the team bounce back from a recent defeat in Potenza and celebrate a major historical milestone for the club.

The afternoon carried special significance for supporters following the club's successful electronic auction to reacquire its historical logo, tied to registration number 11,700, five years after the previous bankruptcy. Fans in both the northern and southern curves of the stadium displayed massive banners, flags, and red-and-blue balloons to welcome back the traditional crest, which carries memories of the team's past seasons in Serie A.

On the pitch, manager Emilio Longo's squad took control early in the game. Nicolò Cavuoti opened the scoring in the eighth minute after navigating through the opposing defense with a brilliant individual run. Giugliano attempted a brief response, but Catania quickly reasserted dominance.

Veteran forward Massimo Coda extended the lead in the twenty-seventh minute with a precise header. Just seven minutes later, Coda netted his second goal of the match by capitalizing on an assist from Cavuoti, bringing the score to 3-0 before halftime and effectively sealing the outcome early.

The second half continued in the same fashion as the hosts maintained relentless offensive pressure. Emanuele Cicerelli scored the fourth goal in the sixty-second minute. Following substitutions by manager Longo, substitute Salvatore Caturano added a fifth goal from a penalty kick confirmed after a VAR review in the seventy-first minute.

Michael Liguori completed the resounding victory by scoring the sixth goal in the seventy-fifth minute, finalizing a dominant performance reminiscent of a tennis set. The resounding win lifts Catania to fourth place in Group C, sitting seven points behind league leaders Potenza.

Giugliano manager Luca Tulino acknowledged the heavy setback after the match, noting that his team initially showed encouraging signs before completely collapsing under the pressure of the home side. The visiting squad remains left to address internal difficulties following the tough defeat in Sicily.

Following the final whistle, players approached all sectors of the stadium to thank the enthusiastic crowd. Supporters chanted and expressed ambitions for higher divisions, urging the team to push forward as they prepare for their next challenging away fixture against Cerignola.
