Indian Stock Market Updates: Recent Debuts and Regulatory Approvals on NSE
Recent market activities on the National Stock Exchange highlight new company debuts, regulatory approvals, and corporate milestones.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) recently featured several notable market developments, including initial public offerings and corporate actions. On Friday, October 23, 2026, shares of Zetwerk Manufacturing made their market debut on both the NSE and BSE. The technology-led manufacturing platform listed at ₹159.2 apiece on the NSE, marking a 5.4% premium over its initial public offering issue price of ₹151 per share.
Data from the NSE indicated that Zetwerk Manufacturing's ₹5,012 crore initial public offering was subscribed 3.10 times, drawing bids for 56.6 crore shares against the 18.2 crore shares offered. The company operates a vast network involving nearly 7,000 third-party suppliers across 26 countries alongside dozens of owned manufacturing facilities across India, Spain, the United States, and Germany.
In another market debut on October 23, shares of Sahajanand Medical Technologies listed on the NSE and BSE following a public offering. The medical device manufacturer saw its shares list at ₹371.15 on the NSE, delivering a premium over the issue price of ₹344. The company's public issue was subscribed 14.20 times overall by the final day of bidding, according to exchange data.
Meanwhile, Davangere Sugar Company Ltd received in-principle approval from both the NSE and BSE on October 22, 2026, for the issuance of 10.64 crore convertible equity warrants to its promoters on a preferential basis. Priced at ₹3.77 each, these warrants are set to be converted into equity shares with a face value of ₹1.
Following the regulatory clearances, the stock exchanges instructed Davangere Sugar to reinforce internal controls to oversee trades executed by proposed allottees prior to the official allotment date. The exchanges stipulated that the company must secure formal undertakings from allottees confirming they will refrain from intra-day trading or selling shares ahead of the allotment.
In broader market context, Indian stock markets recently experienced downward trends, with the Sensex and Nifty indices declining across multiple sessions due to elevated crude oil prices, foreign investor outflows, and sectoral losses in banking, information technology, and energy. Despite these macroeconomic headwinds, cross-border initiatives continue to emerge, highlighted by an agreement signed on October 13 between NSE IFSC and the London Stock Exchange to explore cooperation in cross-border listings, derivatives, and market data distribution.
