Investors await share credits and the upcoming market debut following an unprecedented demand of roughly 7.4 lakh crore rupees.

The share allotment for Jio Platforms Limited's massive initial public offering is expected to be finalized on October 26, following a three-day subscription period that concluded on October 23. The public issue, valued at approximately 30,188 crore to 30,213 crore rupees, drew an overwhelming response from the market, capturing nearly 1.39 crore applications and setting a global record for application volume.

Data from stock exchanges indicates that the overall issue was subscribed 22.19 times, generating total bids amounting to roughly 7.4 lakh crore rupees, or 78 billion dollars, across the main offering and anchor investor placements. Institutional interest proved to be the primary driver of this demand, with qualified institutional buyers heavily backing the digital services firm.

Category-wise figures show that the qualified institutional buyers portion was subscribed 70.55 times, while non-institutional investors bid 14 times their allocated share. Retail individual investors subscribed 2.72 times, and portions reserved for employees and shareholders saw subscriptions of 2.93 times and 7.60 times, respectively. Prior to opening to the public, the company secured 8,109.85 crore rupees from 212 anchor investors at the upper boundary of its price band, which ranged from 1,065 to 1,119 rupees per share.

Applicants seeking to verify their allocation status can check online through the official website of the IPO registrar, KFin Technologies, or via the portal platforms of the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange. Checking requires specific identification details such as a Permanent Account Number or the designated application number.

For applicants who do not secure shares, financial refunds are scheduled to begin on October 27. Meanwhile, investors who successfully received allotments will have the shares credited directly to their demat accounts on the same day, setting the stage for the anticipated market debut.

Trading for Jio Platforms shares is officially scheduled to commence on October 28 across both major stock exchanges. At the peak of its pricing band, the company holds an implied market capitalization of approximately 10.3 lakh crore rupees, positioning it firmly among the largest listed corporate entities in India.

Market analysts note that future growth for the enterprise will likely rely on increasing average revenue per user and scaling high-value digital and technology solutions beyond basic telecom subscriptions. As the listing date approaches, grey market indicators have suggested positive sentiment, though market experts emphasize that unofficial premiums do not guarantee final exchange pricing performance.
