Inter Milan secured a commanding 3-0 victory against Feyenoord at Stadion Feijenoord on Tuesday, marking a significant recovery for the Italian champions in the Champions League. The win comes shortly after the team suffered a disappointing 3-1 loss to AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina, a result that had prompted internal discussions regarding the squad's recent performance and tactical approach.

The visitors established control early in the match, with Yann Bisseck opening the scoring just eight minutes into the game following an assist from Djed Spence. The momentum continued in the 34th minute when Pio Esposito capitalized on a deflected strike from Spence to head the ball into the net, extending Inter's lead before halftime.

Piotr Zielinski added a third goal for the Nerazzurri in the second half, maneuvering across the penalty area to curl a shot past Feyenoord goalkeeper Tjark Ernst. Although Esposito appeared to have scored a second goal later in the match, the effort was disallowed by officials due to an offside violation.

Inter manager Cristian Chivu praised his team's response to the recent derby loss, emphasizing the importance of organization and intensity. "We have certain values, we understood certain things and put them on the pitch," Chivu stated after the match. He noted that while the team has faced criticism for slow starts this season, the performance in Rotterdam demonstrated a necessary shift in focus and execution.

Despite the victory, Inter currently holds six points from four matches in the Champions League league phase, placing them 14th in the standings. The team remains focused on maintaining consistency as they look toward upcoming fixtures against Stuttgart, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, and Slovan Bratislava. Chivu stressed that while the path to the Round of 16 remains challenging, the win provides a vital boost in confidence for the squad.

For Feyenoord, the defeat leaves the Dutch side in a difficult position, sitting 30th in the table with three points. The club faces an uphill battle to qualify for the play-offs as they prepare to host Porto in their next European outing on November 24. The loss at home was particularly notable given Feyenoord's typically strong record at their home ground.
