Jailer 2 Box Office: Rajinikanth Starrer Earns ₹14.50 Crore on Day 9

South Indian superstar Rajinikanth's highly anticipated action drama film "Jailer 2" brought in ₹14.50 crore on its ninth day in theaters, according to reports from Sacnilk. Released on October 15, the movie serves as a sequel to the 2023 hit film "Jailer" and has quickly become a major commercial success.

With the latest figures added, the domestic box office collection for "Jailer 2" in India has reached a cumulative total of ₹348.85 crore. The film opened to strong numbers, pulling in ₹59.70 crore on its first day alone, and has continued to draw audiences ahead of its second weekend.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, who also helmed the original 2023 blockbuster, the movie features Rajinikanth back in a prominent lead role. The cast also includes notable names such as Vijay Sethupathi, Mohanlal, Vidya Balan, Jackie Shroff, and Ramya Krishnan, with cameo appearances by other prominent actors.

Critics and fans have offered positive reviews for the feature, praising Rajinikanth's acting performance and distinct style. Vidya Balan takes on the role of the antagonist, adding to the dynamic of the star-studded ensemble cast.

The film has dominated regional charts and outperformed other recent releases in northern markets despite a limited dubbed Hindi release that excluded national multiplex chains like PVR Inox and Cinepolis. Its Hindi version, titled "Rajni the Jailer 2," managed to earn ₹30.65 crore in its first eight days.

Industry tracking indicates that "Jailer 2" stands as one of the top-grossing Tamil films of the year, bringing in substantial earnings across domestic and international markets. While box office figures are compiled based on estimates from trade analysts and media reports, the film's theatrical trajectory highlights the continued box office pull of its lead actor.
