Rajinikanth's action-comedy film "Jailer 2" is fast approaching the 600-million-rupee mark in worldwide box office collections just one week after its theatrical release on October 15. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, the sequel has drawn positive reviews and strong audience numbers across domestic and international markets.

During its first seven days in theaters, the movie accumulated an estimated domestic net collection of 317.20 million rupees in India, with domestic gross figures reaching 371.45 million rupees. Overseas collections are reported at approximately 211 million rupees, pushing the total worldwide box office earnings to roughly 582.45 million rupees. Trade forecasts suggest the film could climb higher during the upcoming weekend.

The movie has achieved several box office milestones during its opening week, setting a new record for the fastest Tamil film to cross 300 million rupees in Indian net collections within seven days. It outpaced previous benchmarks set by films such as "2.0," "Leo," and the first installment of "Jailer." Observers note that better scheduling in North American and domestic multiplexes might have pushed collections even higher.

The film features a large ensemble cast alongside Rajinikanth, who reprises his role as Muthuvel Pandian. Returning actors like Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, and Mirna are joined by new additions including S.J. Suryah, Vidya Balan, Mithun Chakraborty, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and a special appearance by Mohanlal. Anirudh Ravichander composed the musical score for the production.

Telugu actor Allu Arjun praised the production on social media, describing it as a strong commercial entertainer that highlights Rajinikanth's enduring star power and screen presence. However, one specific line in his post comparing the star's earnings power sparked discussions among fans online regarding its exact interpretation.

Producer K.unju S. Thanu also referenced the movie's commercial impact during a recent media appearance, using the term "box office god" to describe Rajinikanth's drawing power. He used a similar analogy while discussing his own upcoming project, "Arasan," starring Silambarasan and directed by Vetrimaaran.

While unofficial reports and trade trackers project that "Jailer 2" could eventually target higher milestones like 800 million rupees if weekend momentum holds, official confirmation from Sun Pictures regarding final earnings is still expected. The movie continues to screen in theaters worldwide.
