Comedian and actor Miranda Hart has addressed her exit from the second season of The Celebrity Traitors, reflecting on her time in the castle after being eliminated from the popular BBC game show. Hart's departure came after a challenging mission and a tense roundtable discussion that left her suspicious of fellow comedian Joanne McNally.

During an episode set in the Scottish Highlands at Ardross Castle, a mission involving a rickety lair led Hart to suspect McNally after feeling the floorboards wobble. Although actual Traitor Maya Jama was nearby, Hart brought her theory to the group before the roundtable, prompting a sharp reaction from McNally, who turned the accusation back on Hart.

Viewers reacted strongly to the exchange on social media, with some characterizing McNally's response as overly defensive. However, both comedians quickly moved to dispel rumors of any lingering animosity between them. McNally took to social media to acknowledge that the immense tension of the game had gotten the better of her momentarily, writing that the experience involves a great deal of psychological maneuvering and that the two have laughed about the incident since.

Hart similarly downplayed the disagreement, sharing supportive messages online and stating that she never felt stressed during the encounter. She noted that she and McNally even shared a drink and laughed together on the night of the recording, writing, 'Was never stressed. And actually we chinked glasses and laughed on the night.'

Following the roundtable, the show's secret Traitors—consisting of Maya Jama, King Kenny, and James Acaster—chose to target Hart during their nighttime maneuvers. Eliminating Hart removed one of the more prominent Faithfuls from the competition, while also shifting immediate suspicion onto McNally, as other contestants noted McNally's defensive reaction to Hart's initial floorboard theory.

Reflecting on her departure, Hart expressed a mix of frustration and gratitude. Speaking about her elimination, she admitted she was cross with herself for focusing too narrowly on her suspicion of McNally. At the same time, she grew emotional discussing what the show meant to her on a personal level.

Hart shared that participating in the program allowed her to return to professional work while pursuing personal joys like exploring the Scottish Highlands and connecting with nature. She noted that there were periods when she did not know such activities would be possible again, having previously spoken publicly about managing chronic fatigue linked to a Lyme disease diagnosis.

The Celebrity Traitors, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, features a group of famous faces competing for a cash prize for charity. As the second season progresses toward its conclusion on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, remaining contestants continue to navigate the intricate web of deception and alliances.
