Prince William Recalls Trying to Move Travis Kelce From Taylor Swift Photo

Prince William recently discussed a memorable backstage encounter during his appearance on The Graham Norton Show, recounting how he attempted to keep American football star Travis Kelce out of a photograph with pop superstar Taylor Swift and his children. The royal explained that during the June 2024 stop of the Eras Tour at London's Wembley Stadium, he tried to coordinate a private snapshot.

The future king admitted he attempted to nudge the NFL tight end out of the frame so that the picture would feature only himself, Swift, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte. "I was trying to move him out of the photo," William said, adding that the athlete repeatedly returned to the group shot while the prince wondered why he kept stepping back in.

Travis Kelce later responded to the comments on his New Heights podcast alongside his brother Jason Kelce, taking the royal's remarks in stride. The professional athlete joked that at the time of the concert, he was merely the singer's boyfriend and understood the prince's desire to secure a lasting family keepsake without knowing how their relationship would unfold.

"We don't really know if this is gonna last, so it's kinda just move out of the way real quick so we can keep this photo forever," Travis joked on the podcast. The photograph ultimately served as Swift's public confirmation of their relationship on social media, marking the first time she shared an image of the two of them together on Instagram.

During the same television interview, Prince William shared additional lighthearted anecdotes about his childhood ambitions and family life. He revealed that he once considered becoming a police officer and briefly entertained the idea of working as a DJ under the self-chosen moniker "DJ Xara," though he admitted his mixing skills were lacking.

The prince also highlighted his family's entertainment preferences, mentioning that Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are devoted viewers of the television series The Celebrity Traitors. William is currently promoting the upcoming Earthshot Prize ceremony, an annual global environmental awards program he founded in 2020 to recognize and fund solutions for protecting the planet.
