The Paris Saint-Germain women's team returned to the win column following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Montpellier at the club campus. The bounce-back performance came just a week after the squad suffered its first defeat of the season across all competitions against Lyon.

Playing in front of home supporters who turned out in strong numbers despite challenging weather conditions, Paulo César's side controlled possession from the opening whistle. The hosts methodically built their attacks against a compact Montpellier defensive block, though clear scoring opportunities proved difficult to come by during a cagey start.

The breakthrough arrived in the 21st minute through team captain Paulina Dudek. Dudek orchestrated a fluid attacking sequence before finishing it herself to put the capital club ahead.

Paris maintained territorial dominance throughout the first half. Teammate Léa Morissaint came close to doubling the advantage with multiple attempts in the 26th, 38th, and 40th minutes, but the hosts had to settle for a slim one-goal lead at halftime.

The pattern of the match remained unchanged after the interval, with Paris continuing to dictate the tempo. Naomie Feller dazzled the crowd with her technical skill in the 57th minute, only to see her shot blocked at the last moment, while Olga Carmona tested the defense with a long-range effort in the 68th minute.

Substitutions injected fresh energy into the lineup as Jackie Groenen, Florianne Jourde, and Romée Leuchter entered the pitch. Their introduction allowed Paris to sustain the intense pressure requested by César, keeping the visitors from registering a single shot on target throughout the entire ninety minutes.

With the narrow victory secured, Paris Saint-Germain climbed temporarily into second place in the Arkéma Première Ligue standings, pulling even on points with Lyon ahead of their weekend fixture.

The team now turns its attention to continental competition. Paris will travel to England to face Manchester City in the UEFA Women's Champions League.
