Reality Stars Fabio Knez and Darya Strelnikova Reveal Split Reasons

Reality television star Fabio Knez and model Darya Strelnikova have publicly detailed the reasons behind the end of their relationship and broken engagement. The couple, who first crossed paths in 2023 on the dating show "Are You The One? – Reality Stars in Love," had planned to build a life together and relocated to Dubai in June 2025 following a romantic proposal earlier that year in February. However, their relationship came to an end in late November 2025.

Speaking in Berlin, Knez pointed to significantly different daily habits as the primary catalyst for their separation. He explained that his dedication to regular gym workouts and a strict diet clashed with Strelnikova's lifestyle and personal priorities. "I realized that we are too opposite," Knez stated, adding that he ultimately hopes to find a partner who shares a passion for fitness and nutrition.

Strelnikova contested the heavy emphasis on routine, questioning the expectations placed upon her during their time together. "So I also have to feed on steak and eggs, going to the gym 24/7?" she remarked. Although she also exercised, fitness did not dominate her everyday life to the same extent as it did for her former partner.

The physical separation of the household featured several unusual occurrences. Roughly a week after the breakup, Knez packed up his belongings and moved out of their shared apartment, taking various items including canned tuna, toilet paper, and her cutlery. Strelnikova noted that she still has not received her silverware back, while Knez defended taking the canned goods by pointing out that she does not consume tuna. Tensions continued shortly after his departure when he sent her the Wi-Fi bill via WhatsApp on her birthday.

Strelnikova expressed particular hurt over how quickly Knez moved on, mentioning that she saw him meeting other women at the beach early in January while she needed significantly more time to process the split. Despite the difficult ending, Strelnikova confirmed she is now past the heartbreak, enjoying single life, and going on dates without having entered a new serious relationship.

The former couple will soon share the screen again in the Paramount+ reality series "Eating with My Ex VIP." The show features nine prominent former couples coming together for an intimate dinner to confront lingering questions and unresolved conflicts from their past relationships. During the program, Strelnikova confronts Knez about failing to provide a clear explanation when they initially broke up.

The upcoming three-part series, which launched its weekly episodes in November 2026, places well-known personalities across dinner tables to face difficult inquiries regarding infidelity, public claims, canceled weddings, and unrequited emotions. Alongside Knez and Strelnikova, the show features other high-profile pairs including Tommy Haas and Alessandra Meyer-Wölden, Mario Basler and Doris Büld, and Natascha Ochsenknecht and Umut Kekilli.
