Automotive Influencer JP Kraemer Fined 270,000 Euros
The German television personality and YouTube star was penalized by a court in Dortmund following domestic violence allegations.
German television personality and automotive influencer Jean Pierre "JP" Kraemer has been ordered to pay a fine of 270,000 euros following domestic violence allegations involving his estranged wife. A spokesperson for the Dortmund District Court confirmed that the penalty stems from two counts of assault and one count of property damage.
The total financial penalty is broken down into 90 daily rates of 3,000 euros each. According to the court, the property damage charge relates to an incident where the 46-year-old ripped a necklace from his wife's neck. Surveillance footage documenting one of the physical altercations showed Kraemer pulling his wife by the hair, pushing her, grabbing her by the neck, and pressing her against a wall.
Kraemer, widely known for his role in the television show "Die PS-Profis," initially claimed that his wife had also struck him during the disputes. His wife stated to the press that she had hit him on the chest purely in a defensive situation. Following the public emergence of the case, the 46-year-old influencer publicly admitted to some of the allegations in part and issued a statement apologizing to his wife.
The couple has since separated and is currently undergoing divorce proceedings. Following the initial reports, another former girlfriend of the former television host came forward to allege that she had also experienced severe abuse during her relationship with him.
Court officials clarified that the 270,000 euros constitutes a criminal fine rather than financial compensation or damages for the victim. The court spokesperson noted that his estranged wife retains the legal right to pursue separate civil action against him. Kraemer retains the option to contest the penal order, which would result in a formal public trial before the court.
Kraemer rose to prominence as an enthusiastic automotive expert in Germany's Ruhr region, building a massive following through his vehicle customization projects and digital media presence. The recent legal developments represent a significant downturn for the prominent digital content creator.
