Juventus looks to rebound from domestic struggles as they host Rennes in the UEFA Europa League group stage.

Juventus will host Rennes on Thursday, October 22, for matchday three of the UEFA Europa League. The fixture is scheduled to kick off at 1:45 PM Argentine time, offering both clubs a crucial opportunity to secure points in continental competition.

The Italian giants enter this match seeking a strong response following a disappointing domestic defeat to Lazio over the weekend. While Juventus has struggled to find consistency in domestic play, their European campaign has been a bright spot, highlighted by a victory against Celta Vigo and a perfect record so far in the group stage.

Rennes presents a formidable challenge for the home side. The French club remains undefeated in the tournament so far, having recently secured a win against OFI Crete. Despite experiencing mixed results in their domestic league, their strong European form makes them a dangerous opponent.

Under the direction of manager Luciano Spalletti, Juventus announced a 3-4-1-2 formation for the match. The starting lineup features Guglielmo Vicario in goal, supported by defenders Federico Gatti, Gleison Bremer, and Lloyd Kelly. The midfield includes Zeki Çelik, Douglas Luiz, Weston McKennie, and Andrea Cambiaso, while Teun Koopmeiners operates behind forwards Randal Kolo Muani and Nick Woltemade.

Rennes manager Franck Haise deployed a 3-5-2 formation for the French side. Brice Samba starts in goal, with a defensive line consisting of Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal, Charlie Cresswell, and Anthony Rouault. The midfield features Bryan Reynolds, Adrien Thomasson, Valentin Rongier, Mahdi Camara, and Mahamadou Nagida, while Boulaye Dia and Mousa Altamari lead the attack.

For Juventus, a victory would solidify their standing at the top of the group standings and bolster their bid for direct qualification to the round of 16. However, the team must address the defensive vulnerabilities that plagued them in their recent domestic outings to contain an unbeaten Rennes squad.

Following Thursday's encounter, both teams will look ahead to their next fixtures in early November. Juventus is scheduled to face AZ Alkmaar, while Rennes will prepare to square off against Olympiacos as the group stage continues.
