Retailers and Digital Platforms Launch Halloween Events and Sales

Retail centers and digital gaming storefronts are rolling out extensive holiday programming and promotional sales in anticipation of October 31. Communities and online platforms are preparing dedicated events to celebrate the season with activities ranging from children's costume contests to deep discounts on major PC titles.

Shopping centers are organizing interactive events for families and young visitors. In Curitiba, the Jockey Plaza Shopping scheduled its annual Caldeirão do Jotapê for October 31, featuring a candy hunt, costume parades, and creative workshops. Michelle Cirqueira, marketing manager for the shopping center, noted that the celebration aims to provide a secure and entertaining environment for children. "The event is already part of the Jockey calendar and is an opportunity for families to enjoy Halloween in a fun and safe way," she stated.

Similar celebrations are taking place across other regions. Shopping locations in Manaus, including Grande Circular, Sumaúma Park Shopping, Manaus ViaNorte, Shopping Ponta Negra, Amazonas Scholarship, and Park Ephigênio Mall, have organized trick-or-treating routes, face painting, live music, and costume contests for children and teenagers throughout late October.

In the digital space, the Epic Games Store launched its annual Halloween Sale on October 19, offering price reductions of up to 80% on a wide array of personal computer games. The promotional campaign runs through November 2 and includes prominent survival horror titles, action adventures, and AAA releases.

Featured discounts include titles such as Dead Space at an 80 percent reduction, Alien: Isolation at 75 percent off, and Cronos: The New Dawn discounted by 50 percent. Other notable games on sale include Resident Evil Requiem and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, both carrying 30 percent price cuts.

The digital storefront is also incentivizing purchases by offering promotional rewards and integrated gifting features that allow users to send games directly to friends. Additionally, certain game purchases during the promotional window include cosmetic items and character outfits for use in Fortnite, subject to specific eligibility terms established by the platform.

With festive community gatherings scheduled in public retail venues and extensive digital promotions active online, consumers have numerous options to participate in seasonal activities leading up to the end of October.
